Chris assists clients with acquisition, planning and development of water rights and supplies, and purchase and development of real property. His clients include home buyers, irrigators, ski areas, residential developers, municipalities, special districts, water conservancy districts, ditch companies and non-profit community organizations. He is general counsel to the largest municipal water supplier on Colorado’s western slope.

Chris joined Balcomb & Green in 2000 after graduating from the University of Colorado, School of Law, and became a partner in 2006. He is a member of the Colorado Water Congress and the Colorado Supreme Court Water Committee, past chair of the Executive Council for the Water Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, past vice-president of the Colorado Bar Association, past president of the 9th Judicial District Bar Association, a founding member of the youth bicycling incubator Roaring Fork Cycling, and is actively involved in construction and maintenance of local soft-surface hiking and biking trails including as member of the Board of Directors of Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers.
